INTRODUCING GOSPEL OF LIFE MINISTRIES |
| It is evident to serious minded Christians of all denominations that our world is in the greatest crisis of modern times as a radical agenda attempts to overturn laws protecting children in the womb from the violence of abortion, destroy traditional marriage, usurp parental authority and indoctrinate children with an ungodly agenda that threatens the spiritual, physical, social and psychological well-being of individuals and families. Unrestricted abortion on demand, self-induced abortion in the home, court-ordered starvation and dehydration, homosexual "marriage" and many more atrocities are signs of an elitist attempt to foist an agenda on the world that is totally contrary to sacred shared moral traditions which respect the dignity of life regardless of age, sex, race, ethnicity, disability, creed, stage of development, or condition of dependency from the first moment of existence to natural death. Evangelical and Catholic Christians (along with traditional Protestants and Eastern Orthodox) are united in core religious convictions when it comes to the sanctity of human life, of the marriage bond and of the family. According to a recent Gallup Poll, a strong majority (what in politics would be called a "super-majority") of Protestant ministers of every denomination support a ban on all abortions. The Catholic and Orthodox Churches forbid abortion in all forms and at every stage of the child’s development. Evangelical Christians largely support a ban on the taking of all innocent life, from the unborn to the sick and dying.
Lawmakers in the US and
those serving in national governments and
international parliamentary bodies around the world
are in need of support, encouragement and
information as they confront challenges to the
inviolable dignity of every human being in law and
in practice. Core religious beliefs and values
enlighten, encourage, and empower these women and
men to stand firmly against those who advance the
view that an individual’s worth is dependent upon
their usefulness or wantedness or dependent on one’s
sex, ethnic background, or economic status. The Leadership Rev. Frank Pavone – (National Director) of the Gospel of Life Ministries has led the Priests for Life movement throughout the world since 1993.
